After graduating from Methodist College of Nursing in 2010 with her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing, Kimberly Lopez began her nursing career at Saint Francis Medical Center’s Level 1 Trauma Center and Emergency Department. In the years following, she worked in the recovery room, medical, surgical, rehabilitation, Post Partum, cardiovascular, and short term stay units. Prior to obtaining her Master's degree, Kim worked as a House Supervisor for Pekin Memorial Hospital where she held administrative responsibilities for the entire hospital nursing staff in the absence of Chief Nursing Officer. Kim completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing from OSF College of Nursing in May of 2016 and she is currently certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in critical care and pain management as a Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nursing and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
In her spare time, she serves in several medical mission trips including those to the Philippines, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic where she was able to reach out and help underprivileged adults and children. Her other interests include: volunteering for community events and Special Olympics, outdoor activities, education and spending time with family and friends.
