Courtney Kelley received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois State University in 2009 where she took advantage of opportunities to conduct undergraduate research and found her passion for science. Prior to her current role, Courtney worked in industrial lab in Decatur, IL. She has been a part of the basic science research team at Millennium Pain Center since 2012, investigating the mechanisms behind chronic neuropathic pain and therapy.
Courtney’s emphasis inside the lab also includes education. As a research affiliate at Illinois Wesleyan University and former adjunct faculty member of Illinois State University, she has worked with many students; mentoring and assisting with student research projects, and providing a hands-on experience in science and medicine.
Courtney is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Biotechnology with a specialization in Bioinformatics through the University of Maryland University College, where she is maintaining excellent academic performance.
